About Leslie
I'm Leslie, the founder of Morning Light Advising. I started Morning Light Advising as a resource to help parents and students manage the constant communications, requests and requirements that come with moving through high school, college and beyond.
I have a master's degree in Guidance & Counseling and more than 20 years of work experience - 10 working directly with students in higher education. My experience includes:
Career coordinator at Sarah Lawrence College
Academic advisor at NYU
Academic advisor and career counselor at Purchase College, SUNY
I have years (decades!) of experience in support and communications, and absolutely love working with students.
School administrators are the experts when it comes to their school, but caseloads are forever increasing and they are physically unable to provide the long-term individual attention many students need to learn how to excel.
This is where I come in. Together we will identify "your people" and the programming and support available to achieve success. High school and higher education departments provide fantastic programming, events that often have low attendance because students aren't getting the message for various reasons. Departments struggle to get the word out for some really great offerings. Morning Light Advising will help you see what's out there and walk you through what to do next.
My aim is to help you succeed, plain and simple.
